Dr. Jana Kalinova is Ph.D.(Plant Production) and working as Researcher in the Department of Plant Production, Faculty of Agriculture, University of South Bohemia, È. Budìjovice, Czech Republic. Her major areas of research are production of buckwheat and millets and organic farming. Recently she has started research in allelopathy. She has participated in many projects: (i). Production and quality of alternative crops for healthy diet, (ii). Diversity of buckwheat (Fagopyrum sp.) genetic resources and its use in sustainable agriculture and healthy food production in Czech Republic and China, (iii). Collaboratng with EU reseach on Ecological farming and (iv). Allelopathic potential of common buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) with focus on phenolic compounds. She is author and co-author of 20 scientific papers, 45 contributions, 1 Monograph and 19 other papers.
