P L Uniyal is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, University of Delhi, Delhi. He has 22 years of teaching and research experience and specialized in the Bryology, Biodiversity, conservation biology, Pteridology and Gymnosperms. He has published over 55 original research papers, 25 book chapters and one co-edited book. He is one of the paper coordinators of E-PG Program of UGC. He has been investigators of several major research projects funded by national organizations. He is a life member of several national and international scientific bodies and Treasures of The Orchid Society of India. His research interests are biosystematics of mosses, gametophyte development in ferns, developmental biology of Podostemaceae, Population biology of Ephedra and chemistry of Lichens.
