This book on Mineral Policy, Mining Laws and Development is written by the author for the benefit of the entire mining industry in the country. It was the object of the author to give appropriate idea for judicious exploitation of mineral resources of the country as enunciated in the National Mineral Policy, 1993 and the regulatory framework of mines and minerals legislation such as Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, Mineral Concession Rules, 1960, Mineral Conservation and Development Rules, 1988, Legislation on offshore mining etc. The Second edition of book incorporated recent changes in mining sector including amendment in Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2015 and rules made there under. Recently announced National Mineral Policy, 2019 has also been placed suitably in relevant chapters.
